Mariah grew up in Seattle in a musical family with too many pets. She was homeschooled but still claims to have had friends. Her interest in musical theatre was piqued when she was tall enough to stand next to her violinist parents and watch the front half of shows from the orchestra pit.
Mariah Lotz is currently a semester away from receiving her BFA in Musical Theatre at Rider University where she studies voice under Carolann Page and had the opportunity to play Shen Te in Brecht’s “The Good Person of Setzuan.” Her training also includes a summer at The Neighborhood Playhouse studying the Meisner technique under Gary Kingston.
Aside from theatre, Mariah is a classically trained pianist, accompanist, piano teacher and aspiring songwriter. She loves outdoor adventures of all sorts, lavender beverages in all forms, and can identify the vast majority of Sara Bareilles songs by their first chord. The crux of her dreams is to perform theatre she is proud of among people who inspire her.
